Graham Cracker Bars

Author: Mary Ann Ross

Kids Know What They Like...
And They Love These!

For a tasty treat that bakes in five minutes, make a batch of Graham Cracker Bars. Let kids add their favorite toppings by providing peanuts, dried cranberries, toffee, candy-coated chocolate pieces and sprinkles. This is a kid-friendly recipe and great for toddlers when it is time for decorating each of the bars.

Toppings can include anything edible, such as mini M&M's, chunks of candy bars (break into small mini bite-size pieces), nuts, coconut, colored sugars, raisins and lots more.

Ingredients:

12 Graham Crackers
3/4 Cup firmly packed brown sugar (light or dark)
1/2 Cup Butter (1 stick)
1 Cup Dry Roasted Peanuts, coarsely chopped
1 Cup Chocolate Chips, chopped
Assorted candy confetti sprinkles, broken coated candy pieces

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Place graham crackers in a single layer in a 15 1/4 x 10 1/4-inch cookie pan.

Combine sugar and butter in medium saucepan. Cook over low heat until mixture comes to a boil.

Pour mixture over graham crackers; spread evenly.

Top with peanuts, bake 5 minutes.

Remove from oven and top with chopped candy; add sprinkles. Cool completely in pan on wire cooling rack.

Not only an easy recipe but really good tasting!
