One of the "best kept secrets" of Internet marketing is putting up a simple website that is basically nothing but audio interviews. I have several sites that are like this -- just audio interviews (in .mp3 format) and .pdf transcripts of the audio interviews. I find an expert or a product to sell, pick up the phone, call the author or expert, and talk with them. I record the call, edit the audio on my computer (it's very easy and cheap to do yourself if you're strapped for cash) and upload it. Sometimes within just a matter of hours sales pour in from that one interview. Sounds simple, doesn't it? It is simple. Which is why I think so few people do it. In fact, if I had a nickel for every time someone said, "I have a mind to use your format myself!" I'd be a multi millionaire. But people don't do it. Which means the few of us who do use this format can make a bundle. And best of all: You don't need any fancy website designing skills or anything like that. All you need is netscape composer or a cheap HTML program that's "point and click." It doesnt have to be fancy. People just want the information. My sites arent that fancy. You have the headline. You have the description. You have the interview. You just model it after that. And you know what the best part of doing this is? All you need is a phone, a computer and some time and you can do the exact same thing. |
